Maria Petrova

Maria Petrova is an ICREA Research Professor at the Universtat Pompeu Fabra, Researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Political Economy and Governance (IPEG), Affiliate Professor at Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, and Alfa-Bank Associate Professor of Economics at the New Economic School and a Research Fellow at CEPR.

She has obtained her PhD from Harvard University and was a Visiting Associate Research Scholar at the Center for the Study of Democratic Politics at Princeton University. Her research interests include political economy, mass media economic and corporate governance, and her research has been published, among others, on the Journal of Public Economics, American Political Science Review, American Economic Review, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Quarterly Journal of Economics, and Econometrica.
